Our Story

A Lifelong Passion

Throughout my life, I’ve had a strong passion for 4×4 and off-road driving. In 2012, I fulfilled a long-held dream by purchasing a Hummer H1—a milestone that sparked my fascination with large 4×4 and military vehicles.

From Passion to Purpose

In 2016, I took the next step and acquired my first surplus US military truck, the M923A2. From that moment on, I was captivated by these robust and capable machines. What started as a personal interest quickly evolved into a focus on buying and selling ex-military vehicles.

A New Direction

Over time, I noticed a recurring pattern: nearly every customer who purchased a truck had the same goal—to convert it into an expedition vehicle.

This growing demand sparked a new curiosity and opened my eyes to the potential of expedition trucks.

Building the First Habitat

With a natural affinity for CAD design, 3D printing, and hands-on fabrication—combined with experience building custom parts for my own Hummer—I decided to take the next step.

I designed and built my first habitat for my own truck, applying both engineering precision and real-world usability.

The Birth of Exbox

As others began to notice the quality of my work, interest quickly grew. Customers started reaching out with requests for similar builds—and that’s how Exbox was born.

What began as a personal passion evolved into a company dedicated to designing and building high-quality expedition truck solutions.
